As a kid, Teacher Kakay was naturally curious. It's no wonder why she dreamt of being a scientist and a robotics engineer in her younger years.
She liked working with her hands and used arts and crafts as a tool to express and calm herself. Being able to create something and experimenting with different mediums gave her a sense of freedom to do whatever she likes.

Career
Teacher Kakay graduated with a bachelor's degree in Management Information System in the Ateneo de Manila University. But her love to explore, be curious and learn with kids led her to become a pre-school teacher just a year after graduating.
When she decided to take a break from teaching, she then ventured into baking, designing & creating crafts, and studying art.
Learning is everywhere
In 2019, she founded Art Mama together with her mom and sister. She believes that learning is everywhere. For her, the Arts and Sciences are interwoven– like how scientists and mathematicians would need to be creative in their approach to solve problems and how artists would need a certain understanding of angles to draw what they want. In her classes, she strives to impart a learning system that awakens curiosity; that is, to learn through observation and discovery.
